How did she get to be five years old?

Hours after I gave birth to her her father and I were sitting together admiring her beauty and I made the comment "She has the sweetest little face but that sparkle in her eye tells me that we are going to be in for trouble!"
Little One is easily the sweetest and most frustrating person I know all at the same time! She can still curl up into a ball in my lap but while I used to be the only one in the house that she wanted in on a reglar basis she now she also curls up on her sisters lap and loves to snuggle with her dad too.
She was born with an internal clock that tells her when it's time to sleep and fifteen small meals a day that she would rather call "snacks" seem to keep her going. She adores her brother and tells me on a regular basis that her big sister is her very best friend.
She is hard to resist except when she is easy to resist with her sneer and hip cocked letting us know that maybe we are irritated with her but she is equally irritated with us and we better do something about it!
I love each one of my children so deeply it is painful at times and to see them grow is one of the most amazing things in the world. Bri and I used to smile when we talked about them growing up but now we talk about with a little sadness because we are not ready for it to go as fast as it is going.
We want to make every second count.
We love you Little One (or as you have informed us as of late "I'm not Little One....the Gnome is Little One, I'm Medium One now!)

I love the pictures. Her longer hair is so cute. I can't believe the kids grow up so fast. It's nice to see you back in blogger world by the way.

Me loves the 'little one'. Let's keep her. The five year trial went better than expected don't you think?
